Weekly Lunchtime Services |
|
St Margaret's was built by Sir Christopher Wren at the end of the 17th century and continues to play an active part in the life of the City of London.
Often referred to as an oasis, our aim is to serve those who work in the City; to be on hand to pray with and for them, to provide a place for reflection and prayer, and to hold services that fit into even the busiest of schedules.

Holy Communion (Book of Common Prayer) - A traditional service of Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer is held each Tuesday from 1.10pm in the Chapel. It lasts around 30 minutes and includes a short address.

Informal Worship & Teaching - Each Wednesday lunchtime between 12.50-2pm we hold an informal service of worship and teaching during which people can come and go as they wish. Led by experienced and gifted worship leaders, this service aims to provide a unique opportunity for contemporary worship in the heart of the City.
A short talk on a passage from the Bible is given between 1.20-1.30pm, and these are now available online for you either to download or hear streamed from this website. To hear one of them, just click here.
Please feel free to come and go as you wish.

Holy Communion (Book of Common Prayer) - There is a Holy Communion at 12.10 on the first Thursday of the month, apart from January & February when this will happen both on the 10th and 14th respectively.
Organ Recital - Resident Recitalist Richard Townend, now at St. Margaret Lothbury for a remarkable 35 years, introduces the 57th season of unique lunchtime recitals, beginning at 1.10pm lasting for around 50 minutes.
He is often joined by visiting International Recitalists on the 1801 George England organ. For more information on these Recitals or the Organ itself either go to the Organ section, or the Monthly Diary.
